It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Deric F. Cooks who entered into rest April 9, 2024.
Mr. Cooks was a 1981 graduate of North Augusta High School. He retired from Independent Beverage Company. He had a passion for golf.
Survivors include his wife, Cotina Williams Cooks; a daughter, Michelle Cooks, a son, Gary A. Williams; his father Elester (Dirine) Cooks; a sister, Leslie (Renaldo) Woolfolk; three brothers, Mark (Cynthia) Cooks, Reginald (Dorthel) Cooks and Quentin (Victoria) Cooks; two grandchildren, Makyn Johnson and Amaya Kambasha; a devoted aunt, Fannie Abney; father-in-law, John E. Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Monday, April 15, 2024 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (1990 Highland Avenue, Augusta, GA) with Walter Mass officiating. Interment will follow in Second Providence Memorial Gardens (370 Radio Station Road, North Augusta, SC.) There will be NO PUBLIC VIEWING.
